
Melissa York
Melissa Y. (“Missy”) York focuses her practice on civil litigation, including personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, worker’s compensation, and premises liability.
Ms. York was born in Richmond, Virginia and grew up in Hanover County, Virginia. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2005 with majors in American Politics and Spanish and with a minor in Philosophy. In college, Ms. York served as Senior Investigator for the University Judiciary Committee and volunteered through Madison House. After graduating from UVA, Ms. York attended the University of Richmond School of Law where she graduated in 2008, summa cum laude and second in her class of 171 students. While in law school, Ms. York served as Articles Editor of the University of Richmond Law Review and Vice-Chancellor of the Walter Scott McNeill Law Society.
In her spare time, Ms. York enjoys watching UVA athletics, reading, and spending time with her husband, Chris, and their dogs, Daisy and Willow.
